Butterfly Sprinkler Products started as a local business in the Slocan Valley, BC. Peter Makortoff manufactured the gravity cast aluminum butterfly sprinkler heads and all-metal spike and sled bases.
Frank and Gail Powell acquired the business, moved it to Crescent Valley, and established it as Butterfly Sprinkler Products. The product line was expanded with durable all-metal sprinkler bases.
Frank improved the sprinkler head design, increasing durability and the life expectancy of moving parts. The business continued producing quality products until Frank’s retirement in 2014.
Some of the original manufacturing equipment is still in use, maintaining our legacy of quality and craftsmanship in sprinkler products.
